To complement the two previous NetServer utilities (Add NetServer Share and Remove NetServer Share) that we discussed, this issue presents the Change NetServer Share (CHGSVRSHR) command. The next installment will put it all together in the command Work with NetServer Shares, which combines all three of these functions into one easy interface.
Normally when configuring NetServer shares, you would use iSeries Navigator. But often, you want to control these NetServer file and printer shares from a command line or from within a CL program. These commands allow you to do that. So for example, you can add a job schedule entry that starts sharing an IFS directory for nighttime processing, then remove the share when the processing is completed.
