Retrieve IP Addresses of Displays and Printers with Command RTVDEVIP

Since our lead story in this newsletter deals with future SNA support, it seemed only right that we provide a great TCP/IP utility for this issue. Carsten Flensburg presents the new CL commands RTVDEVIP (Retrieve Device IP Address) and DSPDEVIP (Display Device IP Address).

The key to these commands lies in the IBM API QDCRDEVD. The IP address of a display or printer is made available to this API when using the API interface DEVD0600 (Display) and DEVD1100 (Printer).
