Utility CBX909 shows how to use an environment variable, a data queue, and a data queue entry processing program to send a message each time a spool file is created. Once you’ve configured the data queue and environment variable, data queue entries will be generated for one or more individual jobs or for the entire system whenever a spool file is created. Program CBX909 processes those data queue entries and sends a message to the user profile that created the spool file.
